Pine Tree CC to host Metro Amateur Championship on NEW date of June 30-July 1

The long-standing Birmingham Golf Association’s Metro Amateur Championship will be played on the rearranged date of June 30-July 1 at Pine Tree Country Club in Birmingham. The original April date was changed due to severe weather.

This two-man, best ball scratch tournament features three age divisions:

Mid-Amateur (25-49); Senior (50-59); and Super Senior (60+) and is open to golfers from Jefferson, Shelby, Bibb, Blount, St. Clair, Tuscaloosa and Walker counties.

Mid-Amateur maximum handicap is 9; Senior it’s 14; Super Senior it’s 17. This is per player, not per team.

The entry fee is $300 per team, which includes both championship rounds, cart for both days and range balls, plus tee gifts and prizes, plus kegs of beer after each round. An optional practice round is available for an additional $25. Call Pine Tree on (205) 956-1599 to schedule.
